Mr. Jackson gave permission to the school children to attend the funeral but since six weeks tests were being given he sent a bus to bring back to school those who were able to come.
Although Aunt Minnie had been told that she had cancer in the last stage a year ago she was confined to her bed only two weeks. Just two weeks before her death she led the singing at WSCS and took an active part on the program.
The one Sunday that she could receive visitors a steady procession of people passed through her bedroom. A large part was young people and children who were grateful for the influence Aunt Minnie has exerted on their lives.
People who loved her took turns coming each hour of the day and night to do what they could to help. Her family say that money could not have bought the services thus rendered.
We find ourselves confronted with such questions as: Who will be Spiritual Life Secretary in the WSCS? Who will lead the mid-week prayer services? Who will take the Junior Sunday School class? Who will be Communion Steward? Who will be Chairman of the Commlssion on Membership and Evangelism? Who will take the Good Word Booster Club? And many others!
We thank God that we have had her but as one ten year old child said "What will we do without Aunt Minnie?"
