She first married the widower of her sister, who was Orlando Lacy Morris. After the death of Orlando Morris, she married Vernard David Sojourner.

FUNERAL OF MRS. V. D. SOJOURNER
Funeral services for Mrs Emma Register Sojourner were held at 11 am Friday, April 25 at the Bethel Methodist Church with Rev. Elroy Jones, pastor of Woods Springs Baptist Church officiating, Rev. Seegers assisting.

Mrs. Sojourner was born March 9, 1874 in the state of Texas but moved to Logansport at an early age. She had been ill for one year and for the past three months had been an invalid. She was a member of the Woods Springs Baptist Church and was a faithful attendant until her illness.

Surviving are her husband Vernon Sojourner; two sons, O.L. Morris of Logansport and E.O. Morris of New Orleans; three brothers, C. J. Register, R. D. Register and Jess Register, all of Logansport; three Sisters, Mrs W.E. Stephens of Logansport, Mrs L. A. Williamson of Shreveport and Mrs. S.P. Dean of Rockland, Texas; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mrs Sojourner's nephews, Chester Williamson, Vester Williamson, Jimmy Williamson all of Shreveport, Ezra Sojourner and Huson Register of Logansport and Preston Dean of Rockland, Tex.
