BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. — Phyllis Rose Wyatt, 78, 523 W. 15th St., died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Mo., after an illness.
Mrs. Wyatt was born Jan. 16, 1915, at Galena. She was a lifetime area resident and had lived at her present address the past 47 years. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Baxter Springs.
She married Elton Wyatt on July 2, 1934, at Miami, Okla. He survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Jack Wyatt, Baxter Springs; two daughters, Betty Martin, Baxter Springs, and Nora Eisenhour, San Antonio, Texas; four brothers, James Bash, Galena, Roy Bash, Houston, Texas, Leslie Bash, Joplin, and Clayton Bash, Richmond, Calif.; four sisters, Alberta Mills, Joplin, Ruby Jenkins, Galena, Nadine Hairgrove, Richmond, and Virginia Sturgeon, Baxter Springs; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Lowell (Kan.) Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
