Larry Eugene was one of thirteen children born to John Joshua and Bettie Evans Garrett. His obit is incorrect in that it states he was buried in Kosciusko City Cemetery. He was in fact buried in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko next to his mother Bettie Evans Garrett.

Larry E. Garrett services held at Kilmichael

Services for Larry Eugene Garrett were held October 31 at the Kilmichael Baptist Church with Rev. A. L. Hatten officiating. Mr. Garrett passed away October 29th at his residence in Summerdale, Alabama after an illness of several years. Burial was in the Kosciusko City Cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.

Mr. Garrett was born August 8, 1921 in Kilmichael. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Garrett of Kilmichael, six sisters, Mrs. Bessie M. Henderson, De Land, Florida, Mrs. Ruby McKenzie, Monroe, Louisiana, Mrs. Mary Lee Hunt and Miss Mildred Garrett, Mobile, Alabama, Mrs. Sara Nan Dacus, Kilmichael, Mrs. Jeanette Zimmerle, Memphis, Tenn., six brothers, Thomas B. Garrett and Elmer Garrett, Winona, Emmitt Garrett and William J. Garrett, Kilmichael, Emil Garrett, Honolulu, Hawaii and Lewis Garrett, Mobile, Alabama.

Pallbearers were Charles Dismuke, W. E. Garrett, Tommy Garrett, G. W. Chesteen, Calvin Garrett and Harold Evans.
