Noba Estel Alma Jane (Henson) Lamb was born to Charles and Esther (Graham) Henson. She was their first-born child and everyone wanted to name her - that's why she had 3 middle names. She had 3 sisters, Eva (Hunt), Lucy (Parker) and Ruth (Logan). She also had 3 brothers, Earl - Eva's twin brother, Curtis - the twin brother of Lucy who died in infancy, and Hershel Henson.

Noba also had some Black Dutch ancestry, probably from her mother Esther's maternal grandmother Esther (Brookhouser) Elderkin.

Noba married William "Thomas" Lamb on May 5, 1922 in McDonald County, Missouri. She was his 3rd and final wife, outliving him by nearly 16 years. She also became a mother to Thomas' 4 young children with his 2nd wife Cora.

Thomas and Noba's oldest child Kenneth was born in Pineville, McDonald County, MO. Then by 1930 they had moved to Moodys, Cherokee County, Oklahoma. They had about 7 or 8 more children there before moving to Rocky Ford, OK, where they bought some property near Spring Creek. Their youngest daughter Clara were born at their home in Rocky Ford.

Noba was a very kind person, didn't have a mean bone in her body or a bad word to say about anyone. She also loved animals, especially cats. Her youngest daughter Clara was very much like her mother, a sensitive kind-hearted person.

Noba passed away at the age of 85 due to diabetes.
