Silas James Lamb was born May 11, 1934, in the Oaks-Rocky Ford area Oklahoma, to William Thomas Lamb and Noba (Henson) Lamb.

Silas left this earth on May 28, 2013, from his home in Oaks, at the age of 79 years and 17 days.

Silas was a lifelong resident of the Oaks, Rocky Ford area. He attended Rocky Ford School through the 8th grade. After completing school he enlisted in the United States Army. He received his honorable discharge on November 26, 1958. He then worked at Industrial Fabricating for over 23 years.

Silas enjoyed fishing, hunting and family. He was an avid sports fan and loved the OSU Cowboys.

Silas has been preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings, William (Bill) Lamb, Oliver (Jack) Lamb, Ross Lamb, Kenneth Lamb, Enoch Lamb, Beulah Mahan, Sarah Sanderson, Grace Cantwell, and Clara Nichols; and a son, Sammie O'Fields.

He is survived by his companion of 55 years, Mary Leach; son, Ronald James Lamb and wife Kathy of Rocky Ford, OK, and daughter Jan O'Fields of Kansas, OK; five grandchildren, Karona Carroll and Basil of Waterfall Holler, Bucky Lamb of Rocky Ford, Sam O'Fields of Kansas, Barbara Helton of Kansas, and Cherice Gourd and Sog of Tahlequah; three great grandchildren, Brayden Carroll, Kamden Carroll, and Meleah Wolfe; two brothers, John Lamb and Frank Lamb; and his sister Sarepta Lamb; and many other friends and loved ones.
