Gracie Ellen Cantwell was born September 21, 1938, in Moodys, Oklahoma, to William Thomas and Noba Estel Alma Jane (Henson) Lamb. She departed this life on Thursday, August 4, 2005, in Twin Oaks, Oklahoma, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 13 days.
Gracie graduated from Oaks High School in 1955. She had also lived in Claremore, Oklahoma. She had lived in Twin Oaks for over the past 25 years. On October 23, 1961, in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, Gracie and Leroy "Buddy" Cantwell were united in marriage. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2002. Gracie was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching OU football. She liked to read books and working crossword puzzles. Most of all, Gracie enjoyed talking with her family. She was very giving as she would give someone in need her last dollar and do without.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 6, 2005, at the Twin Oaks Baptist Church with Reverend Randall Cummings officiating. Interment followed at the Long Prairie Cemetery near Kansas, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
