Albert August Raesler was born in North Amherst (now Amherst), Lorain Co., OH.

He was the son of August Gustav Raesler and Augusta Woiczechowki.

He married Lillian P. Dock on 17 Dec 1913 at the home of Rev. Egli in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH.

Albert died from myocarditis & arteriosclerosis and was buried 4 Jul 1945.

ALBERT RAESLER FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY

Albert Raesler, age 55, died Monday morning at his home on Franklin avenue, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Conrad Zilch funeral home, with burial at the Cleveland street cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian, three sons, Nelson in the army at New Caledonia; Earl of West street, and Harold at home; his mother, Mrs. Augusta Raesler, North Main street; two brothers, Fred of Elyria and Henry of Amherst; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Miller of Amherst, and Mrs. Earl Fuller of Lindale.

AMHERST MAN, 55, DIES OF ILLNESS

Albert August Raesler, 55, died at his home, 316 Franklin Aven. at 6 a.m. today after a long illness.

He was born in Amherst and had lived here all of his life. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Reformed Church and was affiliated with the Elyria Moose, Amherst Eagles and the Yeoman Lodge.

Survivors are his wife, Lillie, three sons, Nelson with the U. S. Army in New Caledonia, South Pacific, Earl of Amherst and Harold at home, and one grandson, his mother, Mrs. Augusta Raesler, Amherst, two brothers, Henry of Amherst and Fred, Elyria, two sisters, Mrs. Earl Fuller, Cleveland and Mrs. Charles Miller, Amherst.

The body is at the residence and will be taken to the Conrad Zilch Funeral Home Wednesday where services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Rev. J. E. Bollens will officiate and burial will be in Crownhill [sic: Cleveland Street] Cemetery.
