Henry Gustav Raesler was born in North Amherst (now Amherst), Lorain Co., OH.

He was the son of August Gustav Raesler and Augusta Woiczechowski.

He married Evelyn Mae Sharp on 1 Aug 1928 at St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Ernst.

Henry was buried 27 Oct 1983.

Henry Raesler, another member of the stricken Raesler family, was taken to the hospital yesterday to join his mother and sister, already there. The lad is about fifteen years of age and is also suffering with typhoid fever.

AMHERST MANY REUNIONS ON SUNDAY WILKER, CAHL, RAESLER REUNION

The second annual Wilker, Cahl, Raesler reunion was held Sunday at Brandts Park, Amhherst, O. Election of officers was held with President, Henry Raesler, V. P. William Wilker, Sec. and Treas., Miss Mabel Wilker, Lorain. Games and contests were featured. At noon 120 were served by a picnic dinner.

Henry G. Reasler, 81, of Amherst, died Monday at his home after a long illness. Born in Amherst, Nov. 17, 1901, Mr. Reasler was a life-long resident of Amherst. He was a clerk at Stanadyne in Elyria before retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1442 of Amherst and was the organization's secretary for 33 years. He also was a member of the Amherst Eagle's REACT group and St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Amherst.

Surviving are daughters Mrs. Allen (Barbara) Pelton, of Lorain, and Mrs. Donald (Myrna) Flock, of Amherst; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (nee Sharp), Feb. 19, 1983.

Visitation is at the Garland Funeral Home, Amherst, today 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Foster, pastor of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Lorain.

Contributions may be made to St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Amherst.
