BELLEVILLE - Mrs. Addie Myrtle Way, 78, a resident of Talmo for 52 years, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Concordia.

Mrs. Way is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cleta Salmon, Topeka, and Mrs. Esther McGuire, Wamego; a son, Neal, Independence, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Blakeway, Colby.

The funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at the Talmo Methodist Church, the Revs. Royce Baldwin and Harmom Lackey officiating. Burial will be in Union cemetery (sic), Wayne.

Friends may call at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home, Belleville.

ADDIE WAY DIES AT 78

Addie Mertie (sic) Way died on December 17 at the St. Joseph hospital (sic) in Concordia after a short illness at the age of 78 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cleta Salmon of Topeka and Mrs. Esther McGuire of Wamego, Kan., one son, Robert Neal of Independence, Mo., one sister, Mrs. Mabel Blakeway, four grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Talmo Methodist Church. Interment in the Union cemetery (sic).

Addie Mytrle (sic) Way

Addie Mytrle (sic) Acheson was born October 25, 1883 between the town of Truro and Winterset, in Madison County, Iowa, and passed away on December 17, 1961 at the age of 78 years, one month, and 22 days.

When three years old she came by covered wagon with her parents and youngest brothers and sisters to homestead in Rooks county (sic) Kansas, later moving to Cloud county (sic).

She was married to Watson M. Way at Palco, Kan., March 10, 1909, and to them two daughters and a son were born. Since her marriage she has made her home in Talmo, Kan. Mrs. Way was a member of the Talmo Methodist Church where she was active in the Sunday School and church as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1947, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Cleta and husband Donald Salmon and son Robert Neal of Topeka, Kan., her daughter Esther and husband Donald McGuire of Wamego, Kan., her son Neal and his wife Agnes and daughters Carolyn, Jenean and Rebecca of Independence, Mo., one sister, Mrs. Mable Blakeway of Colby, Kan., two sisters-in-law and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Talmo Methodist Church, Wednesday, December 20 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Royce Baldwin and the Rev. Harmon Lackey officiating. Interment was in the Union cemetery (sic) at Wayne.
