Nancy Ann Acheson
Nancy Ann Gentry was born January 19, 1846 in Buchanan county (sic) Missouri, and departed from this life on July 22, 1934, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Blakeway at Colby, Kan. She was 88 years, 6 months and 3 days old at the time of her death.
At the age of two years she, with her parents, moved to Winterset, Ia., where she made her home until after her marriage. While still a very young girl she joined the Christian church of Winterset, Ia.
On October 13, 1864, she was united in marriage with Nathaniel Acheson. She was the mother of eight children, Robert William Acheson of Talmo, Minnie Bass of Paico, Kan., Alice McKenna of Dighton, Kan., Butler Acheson, of Plainville, Kan., Bert Acheson of Tonkawa, Okla., Addie Way of Talmo, Mabel Blakeway of Colby, also 23 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren and two aged sisters, Sarah Brown and Lucy Herrington of Keppner, Ore. Two daughters, Amanda and Mrs Minnie Bass, along with the father, preceded her in death.
In 1886 she and her family came to Graham county (sic), Kansas where they lived until they moved to Cloud county (sic) several years later. For the last 18 years she made her home in Talmo with her daughter, Mrs. Addie Way.
