Funeral services for Watson M. Way, 72, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Talmo Methodist church (sic).

Watson M. Way was born August 11, 1874, near Skeels Crossroads, Mercer county (sic), O., and passed away, March 17, 1947, at the age of 72 years, seven months, and six days.

At the age of five, he came with his parents to a farm near the present town of Wayne, Kan. He spent his lifetime in the Wayne and Talmo communities, serving in Talmo as a merchant from 1907, and as postmaster from 1912 until his retirement in 1941.

He was united in marriage with Addie Myrtle Acheson at Palco, Kan., on March 10, 1909. To this union were born three children.

Mr. Way was a member of the Talmo Methodist church (sic), and for many years had been affiliated with the Wayne Chapter No. 366 of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Cleta Salmon, San Antonio, Tex.; Esther, of the home; his son, Neal, Leavenworth, Kan.; a grandson, Bobby Neal Salmon; a sister, Mrs. W.T. Lash, Talmo; a brother, Austin E. Way, Wayne; other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were at the Methodist church (sic) in Talmo, Thursday, March 20, with the Rev. H.E. Ross and the Rev. James Gray in charge. Interment was in Union cemetery (sic).
