Neeses - Mrs. Lula G. Gleaton, 96, widow of Johnny Gleaton, died Monday night at a Bamberg nursing home after an illness of three months. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Sunny Vista Church of God in North with the Rev. Robert B. Lilly, the Rev. William Welch and the Rev. Robert Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. She was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late William and Arena Chavis Gleaton. She lived in Neeses most of her life and was a member of Sunny Vista Church of God. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bertie Warren of Bamberg, Mrs. Ruby Zimmerman of Wagener, Miss Daisy Gleaton of Neeses and Mrs. Ollie Mae Norris of Fayetteville, NC.; three sons, Ernest Gleaton of Neeses, William Gleaton of Fairfax and Cecil Gleaton of Strasburg, Va.; 33 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren; and 26 great great grandchildren.
