I have been diligently researching the Fields, Black, Smoak, Wise and Heckle lines of my family, as well as several other families. I have been researching for over twenty years and have compiled much information on many individuals. I enjoy visiting the Orangeburg, SC, and area cemeteries - archiving each grave to transcribe the headstones for the use of anyone who wants it. This information will hopefully find its way to a researcher that needs it. Please note that the information submitted is done verbatim per the headstone inscription and in mass. If there are inaccuracies, they were made by the headstone engraver.

Some of the cemeteries I submitted have been taken over by other people. I do not know how that has happened or why it is allowed.

If I am contact about duplicates, I actually confirm duplication before changing anything first. I try to link people when possible but information I have published here is hopefully information that is useful to whomever is trying to find it.
