William Roy Adams, second son of Samuel and Hattie Adams, was born at Oak, Nebr., Nov. 10, 1889 and departed this life Dec. 29, 1953 at the age of 64 years, 1 month and 19 days. He grew to manhood in the Oak community where he lived until 1930 when he moved to a farm near Oak. He was a valued member of the community, a responsible citizen, trusted brother and and exemplary husband and father.
On Jan. 5, 1911 he was married to Margaret Elizabeth Ford. To this union 11 children were born, four of them preceding their father in death. He leaves to mourn his wife, Bessie; his sons, Rolland and Bryce at home; John and family of Superior, and Gerald statationed at Scott Air Field; his daughter, Edith Rausher and family of Nelson, Margaret Adams and Vivian Hanley of Boise, Idaho; his sisters, Mrs. Grace Shipley of Oak, Amy Adams of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Ruth Snyder of Eugene, Ore.; his brothers, Claude, Gail and Rolla of Lincoln, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted by the Reverend Harold J. Coates of Nelson on Thursday, Dec. 31, at 2:30 p.m. at the Nora Methodist church (sic). Interment was made in the Nora cemetery (sic).
