GALENA Kan.
Herbert A. Roland, 68, 1801 Galena Ave., died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday at a Galena nursing home after a lingering illness.
Mr. Roland was born March 20, 1913 in Joplin, Mo. He was a professional performer and dancer, and later worked as a nursing home administrator, having been employed at Broken Arrow, Okla., and as a nurse aide in 1976 at the Brady Building, Joplin.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Jesse Lee Morgan, Galena.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery. Roy Derfelt will give a eulogy.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Potter, Andy Martin, Bill Sweeten, Steve Sweeten, Greg Sweeten and Bill Sweeten.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Derfelt Funeral Home.
