He owned and operated Leddy's Market in Red Bank for 30 years, was a communicant of Church of the Nativity and a member of its Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Cooper Leddy; children, Edward, Jr and Joan Leddy (Theodore) Maione of Little Silver, NJ; brothers, George of Jackson Heights, NY, Francis and Walter of East Hampton, NY and James of New York City; sisters, Marion (William) Wolfkamp of Red Bank, NJ, Margaret (Charles) Evold of Freehold, NJ and Catherine Leddy Magee of Flushing NY. The William S Anderson funeral Home in Red Bank is in charge of arrangements.
