James Vincent Leddy of East Hampton, NY died at Southampton Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He worked as a masseur at the Manhattan Yale, Harmonie and Metropolitan Clubs over the years. After retiring to East Hampton in 1973, he continued to practice, treating clients at their homes. Jim belonged to Most Holy Trinity Church and was the son of Harry Arthur and Sarah Petersen Leddy. He was graduated from Red Bank High School, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and never married. Surviving are siblings, Francis Leddy, former East Hampton Village Police Chief, Walter of East Hampton and a sister, Marion Wolfkamp of Red Bank, NJ. Msgr. Christopher Huntington of Most Holy Trinity Church led a prayer service at the Williams Funeral Home in East Hampton, NY. A Mass of Christian burial was offered at St James Catholic Church in Red Bank, NJ. Published in the East Hampton Star on April 28, 1983
