Samuel Harrison Croyle, 79, of Kittanning RD 6 died at 7:20 a.m. today (Oct.12, 1962) at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harry Duncan. Mr. Croyle was born March 5, 1883, in Washington Township, a son of Thomas and Ellen (Yale) Croyle. He had lived his entire life in the community, and was a retired miner, having worked for the Mohawk Mining Co. He was a member of the United Miner Workers of America. Surviving are his Widow, Nora Ellen (Lasher) Croyle; two sons, Thomas Jr. of Kittanning RD. 6, Floyd D. of Kittanning; four daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Margaret) Schaub and Mrs. Raymond (Mable) Shaub, both of Adrian RD 1, Mrs. James (Mary) Richardson of Kittanning, Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Duncan of Kittanning RD 6; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Hooks of Butler; Mrs. Minnie Lasher of Kittanning RD 3; 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 this evening at Bauer funeral home, where family visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Rev. Raymond Taylor, pastor of Limestone Church of God will officiate. Interment will take place in Limestone Memorial cemetery, Adrian.
