Basil Blake was the youngest of seven sons born to Cicero Cincinnatti and Sarah Ann "Dood" (Gant) Biggs. Blake was born in a Cow Town in Kimble Co., Texas, and died at his home on the Old Biggs Place in McNeil Community. The seven sons are memorialized on the Texas-shaped Biggs Monument in the cemetery. Blake's brothers were: Van Winfred "Winter", Ernest Wiseman "Wisie", Miles Monroe "Dink", James Abner, Quintus Dabney "Q.D.", and Oscar Wilds. Blake was married to Edler Pearl West on December 7, 1907 in San Antonio, Bexar Co., Texas. Their children were: Basil Edward Biggs, General Miles Biggs, Spohn Claire Biggs, Sarah Virginia (Biggs) Lewis, Alonzo West Biggs, and Oscar Lewynell Biggs.
