Brenda Kay Salango, 77, of Hurricane, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 in a Charleston hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 11, 1946 at Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Sybil (Sampson) Lawson.
Brenda was a 1965 graduate of Mullens High School, a homemaker, and a child care provider.
She was Grammy to her three grandchildren, Hannah, Jackson, and Sarah whom she helped raise, love, and care for from birth to Kindergarten.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Salango; one brother, Arnold Lawson; six sisters, her twin sister, Glenda Lawson, Phyllis Williams, Jeanette Compton, Vickie Sizemore, Betty Goad, and Lois Presley.
