Mrs. Minerva (McCoy) Lasher Johns aged 95 years, nine months and ten days, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 1957, in her home at 210 Garfield St., West Kittanning. Until she was taken ill several months ago, Mrs. Johns was able get about actively and enjoyed her life. She was born in Templeton on Nov. 25, 1861, a daughter of Martin and Sarah McCoy, She lived most of her life in the Adrian area, where she was a member of the Limestone Church of God. For the last 12 years she resided in West Kittanning. Surviving are six daughters and sons, Mrs. James (Orfa) Vensel of west Kittanning, Mrs. Emile (Iva) Leroy of Butler, Mrs. Elmer (Frances) Fiscus of Ford City, Bloyd L. Lasher of McGrann, Edward H. Lasher of Ford City and Claude W. Lasher of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are a stepson Jesse Johns of Templeton; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and four great, great, grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Snyder funeral home, Cowansville, from 7 to 10 o'clock tonight and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Respects also may be paid from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Limestone Church of God. At the 2 o'clock hour funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. Gerald Hooks, assisted by Rev. Harold Woods of Pittsburgh. Burial will be made in the Limestone cemetery.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Limestone Church of God for Mrs. Minerva Lasher Johns, 95 year old woman who died Wednesday in her west Kittanning home. Rev. Gerald Hooks, pastor of the Limestone church officiated, assisted by a former pastor, Rev. Harold Woods of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Ray C. Robe of Kittanning was the pianist for the service. As Burial was made in the church cemetery, the casket bearers were Earl Fiscus, Carol, Donald and William Lasher, Blaine and Leslie Vensel.
