Mrs Sadie Meyer 78, a former longtime resident of San Luis Obispo and a member of an early Arroyo Grande family, died Sunday in a San Jose hospital after a heart attack.
Mrs Meyer was a native of Arroyo Grande and was one of six children of M. S and Mary Barcellos, pioneer settlers.
Her husband, Fred P Meyer, was associated with the telephone company in San Luis Obispo many years before the couple moved to San Jose in 1952.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs Dudley Moorhead of San Jose; a son Lucius Meyer of San Francisco; an aunt Mrs William Galantine of Arroyo Grande, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 9 p.m in the Lema-Salmon-Erickson Mortuary, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. Requiem mass will be said in the Catholic Church at San Jose Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
