OBITUARY
Mrs. Maria Barcellos one of the pioneers of this section, passed away about 8:45 O'clock Saturday evening at her home, 879 Church Street, San Luis Obispo, after an illness of about two weeks.
Mrs Barcellos who was the widow of the late Manuel Barcellos was one of the oldest residents of the county having come here with her husband about fifty years ago. When Mrs Barcellos and her husband came to this county they had to come in by boat and landed at Cave Landing. They settled here and raised their family of whom the following survive their mother: Manuel Barcellos of Arroyo Grande, Frank Barcellos, Mrs Fred Meyer and Miss Santha Barcellos of San Luis Obispo; Mrs E M Morgan of Arroyo grande, Mrs James Enos of Santa Maria and Mrs Henry Hinkle of Auburn. The funeral was held Monday morning with a requiem mass at the Old Mission at 10 O'clock. Interment at San Luis Obispo Catholic cemetery.
There were hundreds of floral pieces brought by the friends of the deceased to whom she had endeared herself during her many years of life in San Luis Obispo.
The pall bearers were Manuel Brebs, John Brebs, Henry Enos, William Quaresman, Edward Ferri and Lous Ferri.
