Patricia Ann Christie, 96, Topeka, Kansas, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2022.
Patricia was born January 13, 1926, at Horton, Kansas to Edward and Oda Dorei Schuetz. She graduated from Powhattan High School in 1944 and worked in a dress factory and J.C. Penney's before moving to Topeka in 1950, where she worked for Hallmark's and a garment company. On September 15, 1951, Patricia married Wayne Christie.
They had four children; Jeanene, Dirk, Marsheila Dana (Doug) and Tracee, all of Topeka. Pat leaves six grandchildren: Michael, Rhiannon, James (Lisa), Chris (Rebecca), Brian and Breanna; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat is survived by her children and sister-in-law, Darlene Christie Bruns. She was preceded in death in 2008 by her husband, Wayne, her parents, five brothers, Walter, Floyd, Howard, Vic and Ralph; and five sisters, Thelma, Fernie, Phyllis, Wilma and a baby sister.
Family greeted friends and the rosary was prayed Tuesday, April 19, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and Mass of Christian Burial followed at the Church. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
