Willie "Blanche" Burnum was born May 7, 1901 in Hill County, Texas. She was the daughter of William Henry Burnum and Lee (Willbanks) Burnum. In 1903 the family moved from Texas to Delhi, Beckham County, Oklahoma by covered wagon.

Blanche married John Eris Bell March 15, 1919. They had four children, Beatrice Violet, Grady Leon, Carlos Glen, and Lonnie Gene.

They moved from Oklahoma to Morenci, Arizona where John worked in the copper mines. Later they moved to California where John was a carpenter.

John Bell died in 1949. Blanche married Lou Wittick in 1954. Lou was a roofer and he and Blanche later moved to Texas.

Blanche died in September 1976 in Sanger, Texas. She is buried in Oxnard, California next to John Bell.
