Lee (Willbanks) Burnum was the daughter of William Henry Willbanks and Charity (Myers) Willbanks. She married William Henry Burnum December 21, 1888 in Hill County, Texas. William Henry Burnum was the youngest son of William Toles Burnum and Louisa McGill. While in Texas, the following children were born: Henry Grady, Eva Lee, Clay Monroe, Luther May, Lettie Belle, Paul Dean, and Willie Blanche.

William Henry and Lee were baptized and joined the "Primitive Baptist" church in 1902 at Shilo, Hill County, Texas. In 1903 the family moved by covered wagon to Delhi, Oklahoma. Here four more children were born: Ida Florence, Joe Carl, Charity Lee, and Roy Lee.

William Henry filed a Homestead Application on 160 acres, and here the family built their home. William Henry was a farmer and also the first rural mail carrier for the Delhi Community.

On February 4, 1911 William Henry died of stomach cancer. Lee was 41 years old. There were 8 children still at home, the youngest not yet a year old and also a farm to tend to. With the help of her children, she did just that.

Lee Burnum died June 2, 1946 and is buried at Delhi Cemetery, south of Sayre, Oklahoma with William Henry.
