Funeral Services To Be Held Saturday for Resident of Rochester Since 1931

Joseph Kyle Carper, 77, resident of Rochester since 1931, died Wednesday in a Seattle hospital after a month's illness. Born in West Virginia, he resided at Grants Pass, Ore., before moving to Rochester.

Surviving the deceased are his wife, Myrtle; three sons Perry and W. W. Carper, Wenatchee, and Theo., Bates, Ore.; seven daughters, Mrs. Jack Mackin, Mrs. William Reed and Mrs. Lewis Newby, Rochester; Mrs. Eunice Buckles, Malaga; Mrs. Lona Terry, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Rose Peterson, Medford, Ore., and Mrs. Jenny Workman, Wallowa, Ore; brother, John Carper, Promise, Ore.; three sisters, Susan Fleshman, Wenatchee; Julia Sanna, Wallowa, Ore., and Jennie, in West Virginia; Siz step-children, 53 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will he held Saturday at 1:30 p. m. at the Sticklin chapel, the Rev. Earl Van Doren officiating and burial being in the Greenwood memorial park.
