Grace L. Newby

Grace L. Newby, 91, a resident of the Rochester area for 65 years, died
Wednesday, Dec 23, 1992, in Washington Health Care Center, Riverside,
Centralia.

She was born March 15, 1901, to Josephy K and Letiticia L. Carper in
Promise, OR. She was married to Lewis W. Newby.

Mrs. Newby was a housewife and homemaker. She was formerly a member of
the First Christian Church at Enterprise, OR.

Surviving Mrs. Newby are three sons, Wesley L., Rochester, Willis E.,
Bucoda, and Gordon E., Centralia; 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years in
1960; two daughters, Bernice Larson and Alice Newby; three sons, Alfred
W., Willard and Teddy; and by 16 brothers and sisters.

A funeral service for Mrs. Newby will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26,
in Newell-Hoerling's Chapel, Centrlia, with the Rev. A.J. Fast
officiating. Services will conclude at the Hapel. Interment will be in
Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester.

Arrangements are by Newell-Hoerling's Chapel, Centralia.
