Ike was born July 23, 1912, in Byron, Oklahoma. He graduated from Locust Grove High School. He lived in Driftwood,Oklahoma and Anthony, KS., most of his life. He trained and raced thoroughbred horses for a living - racing mostly in Nebraska.

Ike's parents were Mable D. Hohn Ritter and John A. Ritter (buried in this cemetery). Ike's grand parents were William Ritter (d. 1880 in MO.), and Mary Esther Teel Ritter Beard (buried in this cemetery). Ike had one sister Mary "Sue" Ritter Brake (d.1938 in CA.) and brothers Elmo L. Ritter and Gene Ritter (buried in this cemetery) and John D. "Jack" Ritter (buried in Anthony, KS).

Ike had five nieces and nephews: Wanda Darlene Price, Jimmie Ray Ritter, Richard Lee Ritter, Linda Sue Ritter Stratton, and Janice Merlyn Ritter Watts. He was kind to us all. He was a proud, independent, and a charming man ~ we love you very much! Written by Jan & Linda
