Edna Bott22 Dec 1924 – 29 Oct 2007Edna Lucille Bott, 82, of Minot, and formerly of Donnybrook, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, of cancer at a Minot nursing home.She was born Dec. 22, 1924, on the family farm in Carbondale Township, Ward County, to William and Lydia (Scharbow) Grabow. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Donnybrook High School in 1942.Edna married Arthur Bott Oct. 27, 1943, on the farm where she was raised. They moved near Hartland and lived on the Valentine and Emma Bott farm for five years. They returned to the Grabow farm in Carbondale Township in 1949 and farmed there for many years. Arthur died Oct. 26, 1988. Edna continued living on the farm until moving to Minot in 1992.Edna was a member of the former Aurelia Moravian Church and its ladies aid. She currently attended Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. Edna loved embroidering, sewing, cooking, baking and ceramics in her earlier years. She also loved spending time and visiting with family and friends.Family: son, Russell (Marilyn) Bott, Donnybrook; daughter, Ardis (Dallas) Johnson, Minot; grandchildren, Bryce Boughton, Kenmare, Stacy (Myron) Bjornstad, Maplewood, Minn.; stepgrandchildren, Terri (Jim) Brown, Berthold, Gerilyn (Todd) Bauer, Berthold, Ronald (Christine) Johnson, Port Orchard, Wash., Richard Johnson, Lubbock, Texas; great-grandchildren, Elliana and Griffin Bjornstad; stepgreat-grandchildren, Andrew, Austin, Allyssa, Cody and Ashley; sisters, Mildred Elker, Minot, Grace Elker, Surrey, Pearl Wright, Fargo; brother and sister-in-law, Abner (Sue) Bott, Pocatello, Idaho; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lesley, Glen and Wayne Grabow; and sister, Violet Maag.Funeral: Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.Visitation: Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service time at the church.
