Last rites were held Monday, January 8 at 2 p.m. at the Nations Poplar Creek Baptist Church for Frank M. Garrett of Kilmichael.
Mr. Garrett, who was 81 years old, died the previous day at the Kilmichael hospital, following an extended illness.
He was a native of Leake County and a member of the Nations-Poplar Creek church.
Officiating at the services were Rev. L. B. Vinson and Mr. Dan Beardain. Burial was in the church cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. .
Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Tidwell Garrett,, Kilmichael; three children, Thomas Franklin and Bryant Garrett, Greenwood, and Mrs. Minnie Lee Hudson, Cleveland; a sister, Mrs. Charley Chesteen, China Lake, California; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Millard, Ford, Calvin, Barthel, Denton and Emmitt Garrett.
