Roy Bryant Garrett

Roy Bryant Garrett, 72 years of age, a native of Montgomery County, living in Winona died August 17, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson after a brief illness. He was a security guard for Baldwin Piano Company of Greenwood and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Garrett and the widower of Lavelle Malone Garrett.

He is survived by two daughters, Pauline Watson of Melbourne, Florida and Mildred Franks of Lambert; one half-sister, Minnie Lee Hudson of Cleveland; one half-brother, Thomas Garrett of Greenwood; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Oliver Chapel, Thursday, August 19 at 2 P.M. with the Reverend Reidis Nash officiating, assisted by Mr. Dan Beardain. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Alvin Malone, Calvin Malone, Pete Malone, Buford Malone, Emit Garrett and Jonathan Rossman.
