Services for Clara Lorene Dark West, 91 of Tyler, will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev Bennie Portwood officiating.

Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Whitehouse under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. West passed away, Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.

She was born December 18, 1915 in Smith County, Texas to the late David L. and Laura Mae Bunch Dark.

She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and she loved gardening, and she was a homemaker.

Mrs. West is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene West, daughters, Jonell Hamby and Ann McGregor, son, David West, 8 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Clara is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Lougene Jacobs of Eads, Colorado, son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Martha West of Whitehouse, 14 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John McGregor, Yulan McGregor, Craig McGregor, Anthony Davis, Tom Hoffman, and Mike Priest.

Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. Saturday, at Stewart Family Funeral Home 7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, Texas 75703.

Clara "Aunt Teet" was the sister of Agnes Irene Dark Roycroft also buried at Walnut Grove.
