Mrs. Ivy died Sunday, March 17 in a Tyler nursing home after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Eastland County to David L Dark and Laura Mae (Bunch) Dark and lived in tyler most of her life. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Maurice Ivy of Whitehouse; four daughters, Ruby Lamb, Freeda Holt, and Serion Strickland, all of Whitehous, and Elva Green of Tyler; a brother, Perry Dark of Tyler; five sisters, Lottie Terry of Beaumont, Jewel Hays of Bullard, Clara West and Agnes Roycroft, both of Whitehouse, and Thelma Duval of Benton, Arkansas,; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
