Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie McCann, a former resident of Palestine, will be held in the Hassell and Foster Chapel here at 3 p.m. Monday with the Rev. John Fench of Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the Elkhart Cemetery.
Mrs. McCann died in a Houston hospital Saturday following an illness. She was 63.
Mrs. McCann, who was making her home at 5713 Lauder street in Houston at the time of her death, was born in Anderson County on September 8, 1893, and had lived in Palestine several years.
She is survived by her husband, John W. McCann of Houston; four sons, Carlton McCann, Arlie McCann, Richard McCann and Elzy McCann, all of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. C. L. Howell of Elkhart and Mrs. H. B. (Nonie) Dodge, Jr., of Houston; four brothers, Albert and Ira Camp, both of Palestine, and Joe and Tom Camp, both of Elkhart; four sisters, Mrs. Ida Walston of Houston, Mrs. Mary Barton of Fort Worth, and Mrs. Georgia Shaid and Miss Lucy Camp, both of Palestine; and a number of grandchildren.
