He died in Palestine and was survived by five sons, C. E. Camp of Marshall, Lee Camp, L. W. Camp, and Alfred Camp, all of Palestine; and R. L. Camp of Houston; four daughters, Cora Camp Wooten of Palestine; Viola Camp Greenfield of Arvol, NY; Florence Camp Deloach of Houston and Mrs. Maydelle Littleton of Seminole, TX; four brother, Joe Camp, Albert Camp and Ira Camp, all of Palestine, and Tom Camp of Elkhart; five sisters, Ida Camp Walston and Nettie Walston McCann, both of Houston; Mary Lizzie Camp Barton of Fort Worth; Lucy Camp and Georgia Camp Shaid of Palestine; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, 3 stepsons and 5 stepdaughters. His obituary appeared in the Palestine Herald-Press, Friday, 7 December 1956.
