He married Mary Ann Theresa "Trissie" Ashley 29 August 1897 in Anderson Co, TX. After her death, he married Mrs. Lillie Fulgium 25 January 1917 in Anderson Co, TX. He was farmer and realtor. He died in Palestine and was survived by five sons, C. E. Camp of Marshall, Lee Camp, L. W. Camp, and Alfred Camp, all of Palestine; and R. L. Camp of Houston; four daughters, Cora Camp Wooten of Palestine; Viola Camp Greenfield of Arvol, NY; Florence Camp Deloach of Houston and Mrs. Maydelle Littleton of Seminole, TX; four brother, Joe Camp, Albert Camp and Ira Camp, all of Palestine, and Tom Camp of Elkhart; five sisters, Ida Camp Walston and Nettie Walston McCann, both of Houston; Mary Lizzie Camp Barton of Fort Worth; Lucy Camp and Georgia Camp Shaid of Palestine; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, 3 stepsons and 5 stepdaughters. His obituary appeared in the Palestine Herald-Press, Friday, 7 December 1956.
