Viola Camp Greenfield Shuhart, 96, Springbrook Apartments, formerly of Orwell, died Monday in Oswego Hospital.
years, retiring in 1969. She also worked at the Oswego County Sanatorium at Orwell.
She was born Jan. 24, 1909, in Palestine, Texas, where she attended school, and married Harold N. Greenfield on March 26, 1931, at Lake Charles, La. The couple lived in Orwell all of their married life. Mr. Greenfield died Oct. 25, 1980.
She later married Francis J. Shuhart, who died Aug. 28, 1995.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Beryle J. and Irene Greenfield, Orwell, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A son, Harold "Gene," died March 25, 1998. A granddaughter also died before her.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Hunsinger officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.

Viola C. Greenfield Shuhart, age 96, of Springbrook Apts., Pulaski, went home to be with the Lord on Monday at Oswego Hospital. She was born on January 24, 1909 in Palestine, TX, where she attended school. She moved to Orwell in 1931, and married Harold Greenfield in 1931. He died on October 25, 1980. She married Francis Shuhart, he died on August 28, 1995. She was employed by General Electric in Syracuse for 13 1/2 years retiring May 1, 1969. Also employed by Oswego County Sanatorium in Orwell.

Surviving are one son, Beryle Greenfield and his wife, Irene of Orwell; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by one son, Gene Greenfield who died 3/25/98; and one granddaughter, Dawn Greenfield who died on 8/29/00.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., Pulaski with Rev. Mark Hunsinger officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

Donations may be made to Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church, 2 Gay Dr., Altmar, NY 13302.
