ELKHART -- Services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Howell, 58, Elkhart, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Melvin Neal officiating.
Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell died Sunday in a Tyler Hospital.
Born Jan 12, 1923, in Anderson County, she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church at Grapeland and had been a nurse's aide for Oak Haven Nursing Home in Palestine and Elkhart Nursing Center.
Survivors include a son, C.L Howell Jr., Fort Worth; four daughters, Martha Ellen Wilson, Piedmont, SC, Lanette Maddox, Tyler and Bennie Bairfield Howell and Karen Sue Wilcox, both of Elkhart; three brothers, Carlton McCann and William McCann, both of Houston, and Richard C McCann, Bell Chaise, LA; and nine grandchildren.
H. L. Howell, David Gannon, R. B. Fincher, John McCann Jr, Edward Conaway and James Cherry will be pallbearers.
