Martha Imelda Witters, 97, of Philipsburg passed away August 14, 2007 at the Windy Hill Village of the Presbyterian Home, Philipsburg.
Born March 29, 1910 in Cassville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clem and Ida (Parks) Bowman.
On August 15, 1936 she wed Bruce Leonard Witters who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg, PA.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Charles E. Witters and his wife Lee of Apple Valley, CA; Helen Evans and her husband Gerald of Toms River, NJ; Mary Ann Moriarty of Philipsburg, PA; Mike Witters and his wife Evelyn of Osceola Mills, PA; and one sister, Mary States of Huntingdon, PA.
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Susan Hayakawa and her husband Takeshi of Great Meadows, NJ; Robert Evans and his wife Tammy of Brisbin, PA; Kenny Ward and his wife Michelle of Lucerne Vally, CA; Sherri Long of Victorville, CA; Ginna Evans and her husbad Brian of Lucern Valley, CA, Michael Eirich and his wife Georgetter of Morrisdale, PA; Melissa Helsel and her husband Gary of Philipsburg; and Maureen Witters of Osceola Mills, PA; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren; and several nieces and newphews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Belle Weikel and Sara Bousum and 4 brothers Fred Bowman, Milton Bowman, James Bowman and Alex Bowman.
Funeral Services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 28 N. Centre Street, Philipsburg on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Brenda K. Leigey officiating.
Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, August 19, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
