Former Resident of Edinburg dies
EDINBURG – R. A. Coy, former well-known Edinburg resident, died at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Dunkel Nursing Home, Marshall, Ill.
Funeral rites in charge of the Rev. Bruce McClure of Indianapolis, will be held from the Edinburg Methodist church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial
will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mutz Funeral Home at any time.
Mr. Coy was born in Bartholomew County January 24, 1866 and was the son of Samuel and Martha Anderson Coy. He was married to Ida Neville who died Aug. 16, 1953.
A retired farmer, Mr. Coy lived here for many years and was a member of the Edinburg Methodist Church.
Mr. Coy leaves a daughter, Mrs. W. H. Johnson and a grandson, Basil Goetz of Terre Haute. A son, Dalbert Coy died Nov. 29, 1940.
