A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Pastor Don Smith. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Myrtle was born on July 26, 1926 near Quinton to James Lafayette Nimrod Quinton and Mary Ellen (Floyd) Quinton. She went to the Old Quinton School House located on the family property.
Myrtle married Billy E. Mann and he preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker, but following the death of her husband in 1974, she worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for Colonial Park Nursing Home for over 20 years.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church of McAlester. Myrtle enjoyed sewing, gardening, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Bill Mann; brothers: Willis, Jim, infant twin brothers, and an infant brother; and sisters: Mary, Alice, Livica, Ethel, Hazel, and Lily.
Myrtle is survived by her sons: Billy N. Mann of Okmulgee, Richard Mann of McAlester; grandchildren: Billy D. Mann of McAlester, Ricky Mann of Texas, Justin Mann of Scipio; great-grandchildren: Billy Colton Mann, Michael Anthony Mann, Mack Mann, Laci Mann, Katie Mann; great-great-grandchild: Presley; sister-in-law: Laura Quinton of Quinton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
