Edwin K. Birchard, 80, of Brackney, PA, passed away at home on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was born on April 1, 1938 in Dimock Twp. to the late Lewis E. and Ethel Lois (Wood) Birchard.
He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Donna Birchard, Kutztown, PA, Chris and Kathy Jo Birchard, Pine Bush, NY and Vince and Michelle Birchard, Montrose, PA, six grandchildren, Cheryl (Scott) Anderson, Geoff (Mariah) Birchard, Kristy Birchard , Jack Birchard, Megan and Aidan Birchard, two great grandchildren, Lyla and Brielle Anderson, two step-great grandchildren, Quentin Palmatier, Dezmond DePue, four sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Overfield, Montrose, PA, Connie Darrow, Endicott, NY, Lois “Squeak” Birchard, Endicott, NY, Elaine “Wee Wee” and Stephen Pilarcek, Endwell, NY, sisters-in-law, Janet, Barbara and Gloria Birchard and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his six brothers, Elwin “Pete”, Calvin “Tod”, Ronald, Duane “Duke”, Donald “Duck” and Robert Birchard, and two sisters, Joyce Wood and Audrey Fino.
Edwin was born and raised at Loudon Hill farms and was a service technician for Sears for many years. He was a founding member of the Montrose Kiwanis Club and a former member of the Montrose United Fire Company.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home with Pastor Jane Pykus officiating. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Birchardville Cemetery, Forest Lake Twp., PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Montrose Minute Men, PO Box 461, Montrose, PA 18801.
