Audrey J. Fino, 76, of South Montrose, PA, passed away after an extended illness, at Absolut Care Endicott LLC, on Friday, October 16, 2015. She was born on July 1, 1939 in Dimock Twp., PA, to the late Lewis E. and Ethel L. (Wood) Birchard.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey J. Fino, Lawton, PA, Anthony J. Fino, South Montrose, PA, granddaughter, Deanna Jo Fino, two brothers, Elwin “Pete”, Birchard, Auburn, PA, and Edwin Birchard, Johnson City, NY, five sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Overfield, Montrose, PA, Connie and Dave Darrow, Endicott, NY, Lois “Squeak” Birchard, Endicott, NY, Elaine “Wee Wee” and Stephen Pilarcek, North Carolina, Kim and Brian Hollister, Elk Lake, PA, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Anthony Fino, five brothers, Ronald, Duane, Robert, Donald, and Calvin Birchard, and sister, Joyce Wood.
Audie was very athletic and enjoyed playing basketball and softball; she also enjoyed NASCAR races, bowling and fishing. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and a social member of the VFW. The center of Aud’s life was always her family; not only was she a loving mother, grandmother and sister, but she was also the babysitter for a lot of her nieces, nephews and South Montrose neighbors. She drove her parents anywhere they needed to go, and she loved her pets as well, especially her dog, “Runt”. Audrey was loved by her family to the moon and back.
