Emma B. Simpson, tenth and youngest child of John Simpson and Margaret Ann Dickson. After her parents died, she was left in the care of her brother Arthur Marcus Simpson until February 21, 1878, when her brother-in-law, John Alexander Steger was appointed her guardian. The date and place of her marriage to R.C. Stubbs is not known. Her obituary reads: "Mrs. Emma Stubbs died in this city yesterday and will be buried on the Simpson place in Pond Beat. she was a Sister of Mr. Henry Simpson. Her tombstone reads: EMMA SIMPSON STUBBS BORN March 23, 1862 DIED March 4, 1893.
