Marion Ellis Simpson, third child of John Simpson and Margaret Ann Dickson migrated with his brothers, Alexander Heath and William Timmons Simpson to Tibbee, Clay County, Mississippi between 1870 and 1871, where they engaged in farming. William continued his westward migration to New Gascomy, Arkansas and later Marion migrated to Bolivar County, Mississippi. Marion was found living in Queen Peak, Montague County, Texas on October 21, 1879, and shortly thereafter he was married to Laura Kelly. Laura and Marion were the parents of two children both born in Texas, William Timmons and Margaret Ann Simpson. After Laura death Marion returned to the old Simpson plantation with his children and established his home near there. He was last recorded in the 1900 U.S. Census with his children, but not in the 1910 census. He probably died between 1902 and 1910.
