Agnes Wiedrich, 96, Beulah, ND, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen, ND.

Agnes Wiedrich was born August 26, 1922 to Otto and Ida (Erdman) Mettler. Her baptism was at Trinity Lutheran Church and confirmed March 26, 1937 by Pastor Schaffer. She attended grade school at Kroenthal and high school in Hazen and Stanton, North Dakota. Before marrying, she worked as a telephone operator in Beulah and Stanton, North Dakota. On March 15, 1924 she married Gottlieb (Guy) Wiedrich. After Gottlieb's discharge from the navy, they owned/operated the Main Bar in Beulah, North Dakota for 10 years. They then moved to Minot, North Dakota, and owned/operated the Ranch Motel and Empire Motel. After selling the motels, they became involved in real estate development/investment. In 1974, they decided to move back to Beulah and continue with real estate development.

In Minot, she was a member of the African Violet Club. Her love of flowers continued when she moved to Beulah through her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, fishing, sewing, crocheting and quilting. Her greatest joy/love, though, was caring for her family and continued to expand to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In Minot, she was a member of St. Paul Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. She was active in the LWML holding various offices, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and attended bible study classes. She supported her husband in various church duties and her children in various church activities.

When living in Beulah, she continued to be an active member of the Concordia Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. Her faith in God brought her peace, strength, and was a guiding light throughout her life.

Agnes is survived by two sisters and one brother: LaVern Dassy (Wisconsin), Veda Stellwagen (Wisconsin) and LeRoy (Washington). Her children and spouses: Dwight and Lana J. Wiedrich, LaVaun and Ron Mackey, Lana Wiedrich, Jan and Don Ivey, and Blair and Tammy Wiedrich. Her grandchildren, their spouses and great-grandchildren: granddaughter, Katja Wiedrich; grandson, Jason Wiedrich; grandson, Andrew (Drew) Anderson, Kellie and great-grandson Hunter; grandson, Robb Wiedrich, Kristi and great-grandsons Ethan, Gavin and Caleb; grandson, Justin Wiedrich; granddaughter, Brittani (Ivey) Clemmons, Scott and great-grandchildren Weston and Oliva; grandson, Nicholas (Nick) Wiedrich, Katie and great-grandson Liam (William); granddaughter, Alyson Wiedrich, Chad Myers and great-grandson Witt; grandson, Nathaniel (Nate) Wiedrich.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gottlieb (Guy); parents Otto and Ida (Erdman) Mettler; sisters, Rufina Zeller and Irene Blahna; brothers, Gilbert and Richard; brother-in-law, Reverand Robert Stellwagen; grandson, Trenton Anderson (LaVaun); great-grandson, Marcus Guy Wiedrich (Robb and Kristi), and mutiple nieces and nephews.

My mother wants to thank everyone who sent cards and visited her. Special thanks to Pastor Heller for his services. God's blessings to all.
