Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Baldwin Funeral Home chapel, Manship St., Jackson, for Phillip B. Bass, 67, of Jackson, who died unexpectedly Monday afternoon at a Jackson doctor's office.
Dr. B. Frank Smith and Rev. Max Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
Mr. Bass was a farmer and carpenter until retirement. At the time of his death he was nightwatchman for Deposit Guaranty Bank. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, five sons, Phillip, Lloyd, Carroll F. Charles W. and James Paul Bass, all of Jackson, and John Edward Bass of Hattiesburg; a brother, Archie Bass, Sr., of Pinola; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Brown of Summit, Mrs. B. Frank Smith of Hattiesburg, Mrs. Claude Bush of Mobile and Miss Mary Ella Bass, State Hospital, Miss.,and dive grandchildren.
