Mrs. Rosa Lee Galbreath Tippett, 67, died Saturday in the Meadows Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Toombs County, she resided on Route 2, Vidalia, and was a member of the New Corinth Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the W.H. and Kate Fiveash Galbreath.


Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the New Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. G.D. Ricketson, officiating. Interment was in the Galbreath Cemetery with Frank Murchison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.


Pallbearers were: S.L., William, Ray, Hiram, and John H. Galbreath, and Paul Tippett.


Survivors include her husband, Tom Tippett of Vidalia; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Price of Clio, Michigan, and Mrs. Fred La Malfa of Omaha, Neb.; one son, G.P. Tippett; one sister, Mrs. Florence Booth; five brothers, Herbert, Delmas, T.W., and I.D. Galbreath, all of Vidalia, and Theron Galbreath of Fort St. John, Canada; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
