Mrs. Kate Fiveash Galbreath, 77, died Saturday at her home near Vidalia after a long illness. She was the wife of the late W.H. Galbreath.


Funeral services were held on Monday at 3 p.m. at New Corinth Baptist Church, with Rev. G.D. Ricketson and Rev. W.E. Thompson officiating. Burial was in Galbreath Cemetery.


Pallbearers were Robert, Edgar and S.L. Galbreath, Prince and Abbie Thompson and Hilton Whitfield.


Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. M.M. Booth of Jesup and Mrs. T.H. Tippett, of Vidalia; five sons, H.B., W.D., T.W., I.D., all of Vidalia and Theron Galbreath of Ft. St. John, B.C., Canada; one sister, Mrs. A.M. Ward of Jay, Fla.; four brothers, George P. Fiveash of Thomasville, Homer and Walter Fiveash of Selma, Ala., and Rufus of Miami, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.


Frank Murchison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
